Job Description:
Directs, supervises and coordinates functions and activities in Patient care services areas. Provides oversight to all nursing personnel including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Develops departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures for Patient Care Departments. Organizes and directs the institution's patient care efforts in accordance with Administrative guidelines. Functions as a member of Administrative Staff to develop and evaluate the effect of proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care. Advises Administration on problems relating to the operation of the hospital. Recommends changes in policy, facilities, equipment and programs in order to acheive the hospital's objectives. Provides leadership and direction to all nursing personnel.
Required Skills:
Current RN license in the State of Nevada, Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, 2 years of nursing leadership, Experience in Infection Control, Risk management, Quality Assurance and Utilization Management is preferred, Understanding of acute care, emergency room, and extended care standards. Must have a willingness to work varied hours if needed to accomodate facilities needs.
